Cummins Power Generation officially unveiled its new QSK78 generator sets belonging to the Centum high-horsepower series in June 2026, targeting global 50Hz power demand markets covering the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Powered by a 78-liter V18 heavy-duty engine, the new gensets deliver a maximum standby power of 3300 kVA and a prime power of 3500 kVA, supporting Tier 2 emission standards and low-nitrogen oxide output, fully adapting to strict environmental protection regulations in various regions.
Equipped with Cummins’ core PowerCommand® 3400 intelligent control system, the generator sets realize precise voltage and frequency regulation, real-time remote monitoring and efficient system integration. Matched with the exclusive Centum™ transmission drive technology, the equipment features high power density, compact structure and excellent operational stability. It achieves ultra-fast startup speed and superior transient response performance, capable of coping with extreme working conditions such as high temperature and high load. Widely applicable to core scenarios including large data centers, industrial parks and infrastructure emergency power supply, the new model further consolidates Cummins’ leading position in the global high-power generator set market.
