In the operation of diesel generator set, sometimes the coolant does not circulate, which leads to the phenomenon of cylinder temperature rising fast, oil temperature rising and sudden shutdown, which affects the safe use of diesel generator set. The coolant does not circulate for the following reasons:

(1) The radiator fin of diesel generator set is blocked or damaged. The cooling fan does not work or the heat sink is blocked, so that the temperature of the coolant can not fall, the heat sink rust, resulting in leakage phenomenon, but also cause poor circulation.

(2) Diesel generator thermostat failure. The engine combustion chamber is equipped with a thermostat to control the temperature of the engine combustion chamber. The thermostat is fully opened at the specified temperature (82 degrees) to facilitate small circulation. If there is no thermostat, the coolant cannot maintain the circulation temperature, which may produce a low temperature alarm.

(3) There is air mixed in the cooling system of the diesel generator set, which causes the pipeline is not smooth, and the damage of the suction valve and exhaust valve on the expansion tank also directly affects the circulation. At this time, it is necessary to check whether their pressure values meet the regulations regularly. The inspiratory pressure is 10kpa and the exhaust pressure is 40kpa.

(4) The coolant level of diesel generator set is too low or does not meet the requirements. The liquid level is too low, which can directly cause the temperature of the coolant to rise so that the coolant does not circulate. The coolant is 50% antifreeze +50% softening water +DCA4 according to the regulations. If it does not meet the regulations, it will cause pipeline blockage and rust in the pipe wall, so that the coolant cannot circulate normally.

(5) The water pump of the diesel generator set is faulty. Check whether the function of the pump is good. If it is found that the pump transmission gear shaft is worn beyond the limit, the pump can not play a role, and the circulation can be normal after replacement.
