The phenomenon that the diesel generator set is suddenly hot during operation generally occurs when the parts are suddenly damaged. The sudden damage of the parts will make the coolant stop pressure circulation or a large amount of water leakage resulting in sudden overheating, or there is a fault in the temperature test system.

The causes of generator overheating are:

① Temperature sensor failure, false water temperature is too high.

② Water temperature meter failure, false water temperature is too high.

③ The water pump is suddenly damaged, and the coolant stops circulating.

④ The fan belt is broken or the belt pulley tensioning support is loose.

⑤ The fan belt is removed or damaged.

⑥ Serious water leakage in cooling system.

⑦ The radiator is frozen and blocked.

Diagnosis and treatment of generator overheating:

(1) Observe whether there is a lot of water leakage outside the engine first. If there is dripping water in the water drain switch, water pipe joint, water tank, etc., it should be treated in time.

(2) Observe whether the belt is cracked. If the belt is broken, replace it in time and tighten the belt.

(3) Check whether the water temperature sensor and water temperature meter are damaged, and replace them if damaged.

(4) Check whether the exhaust pipe of the engine and water tank is blocked and dredge.

If there is no leakage inside or outside the engine and the belt drive is normal, the circulating pressure of the coolant should be checked and repaired according to the "boiling" fault described above.

The radiator icing generally occurs in the cold season after the cold start or under the long slope flamed. If the speed is high after starting, and the fan is strong, so that the lower part of the radiator that has just added cold water is frozen. After the temperature of the engine rises, the coolant can not carry out large circulation and produce overheating or rapid boiling. At this time, radiator warm measures should be taken to reduce the amount of air pumped by the fan, or to heat the frozen part of the radiator, to promote the ice quickly dissolve. When the car under the long slope radiator freeze, should immediately stop, idle to warm the car.

Notes for use: Choose a windward or shady place to stop immediately, open the hood cover, keep the engine running at idle speed, so that the temperature is gradually reduced, and do not immediately stall. If it is difficult to start the engine after flameout, try to make the crankshaft rotate slowly to prevent the piston from bonding with the cylinder wall under high temperature. Do not open the radiator cover or expansion box cover in a hurry during cooling. When opening the cover, pay attention to safety to prevent hot water or steam from ejecting scalding. In case of excessive water consumption, appropriate soft water should be added in time.
