Inadequate run-in: To get effective run-in in the shortest possible time, run-in time and load distribution must be considered. Under too low load even if the long run in can not run in, and if the rush to high load operation, it will cause cylinder. Therefore, in the run-in period of Cummins diesel engine should pay attention to: run-in period to increase the amount of oil injection; The piston ring should run for a period of time under low load after replacement; The piston and cylinder sleeve should be replaced after running-in and then increase the load.

Poor cooling: poor cooling will lead to cylinder, piston temperature is too high, poor lubrication; Poor cooling will make the piston and cylinder liner overheating and excessive expansion deformation, lose the original normal clearance and pull cylinder. The reasons for poor cooling are: cooling pump discharge pressure is not enough, water supply is insufficient or interrupted; Cooling water cavity rust or dirty; Water contains bubbles, accumulated in the cooling chamber is not released and caused by gas resistance; The water is too dirty and the temperature is too high.

The piston ring is not working normally: the opening gap is too small, so that the piston ring is broken; The gap between heaven and earth is too small, so that the piston ring stuck; Too much carbon makes the piston ring stick in the ring groove to lose elasticity, causing fracture or gas leakage; The opening gap is too large or worn seriously, resulting in air leakage. The leakage of gas destroys the lubricating oil film, making the surface temperature too high. After the piston ring breaks, the debris is easy to fall into the piston cylinder, causing the pull cylinder, bite cylinder.

Burning inferior fuel: incomplete combustion leads to more combustion residue; Post-combustion phenomenon is serious, so that the exhaust temperature is increased, and technical measures are not taken in time; Cylinder lubrication base is not appropriate. Installation cleaning work is poor, the metal chips or hard particles into the cylinder will also cause pulling cylinder. Oil rings are mainly used to scrape oil and improve the lubrication conditions of cylinder liner. The gas ring is mainly to ensure the seal between the piston and the cylinder liner.
