In practice, in order to maintain and even stimulate the performance of the motor, it is very important to make and follow the scientific motor bearing lubrication management plan.
Higher performance of generators can be stimulated as follows:
I. Timing
Factors affecting the frequency of grease replacement are very complex, generally including temperature, continuity of use, grease injection amount, bearing size and speed, seal effectiveness and the suitability of grease in special applications. Therefore, deciding when and how often to replace grease is not a simple matter.
Normally, the continuous operation of light load to medium load motor requires the replacement of grease at least once a year; When the temperature is 10°C higher than the recommended nominal temperature, the interval between replacing the grease must be reduced by half.
Two, quantitative
It is one of the important steps to determine the grease injection amount of motor bearing when the bearing is lubricated and replaced. Insufficient injection of grease will cause insufficient lubrication and lead to bearing failure, while excessive injection will lead to bearing failure and problems caused by grease being brought into the electromagnetic winding. You can refer to the following two methods to determine the amount of grease injection for bearings:
· 1/2 to 2/3 of the remaining space in the bearing -- when the running speed is less than 50% of the bearing limit speed;
1/3 to 1/2 of the remaining space in the bearing -- when the running speed is greater than 50% of the bearing limit speed.
· Another way to determine the appropriate grease injection amount for bearings is to use the following formula:
o Grease injection amount (g)= bearing outer diameter (mm)X bearing width (mm)X0.005;
o or grease injection amount (oz)=0.114X bearing OD (in inches)X bearing width (in inches)X0.005;
Third, sequence
Removing as much old grease as possible is an important method to prevent deterioration, leakage and contamination of grease, and is also the key to avoid incompatible grease mixing. Therefore, after confirming the replacement time and amount, we must follow a set of rigorous flushing and fat changing procedures! Taking the rolling bearing equipped with fat port and fat drain port as an example, the flushing and fat changing process can be completed cleanly and efficiently by using the 5-step "decompression method" :
1. Disassemble: Remove the bolt at the bottom of the fat drain port and remove all hardened grease from the fat drain port;
2. Wipe: wipe grease grease filling port;
3. Note: Pour the grease into the grease filling port until the new grease is discharged from the grease draining port. Make sure that the old grease is drained out. Ensure that the operating environment of the device is safe and feasible, perform this step while the device is running.
4. Discharge: without installing the drain port bolt, the motor runs normally and maintains the operating temperature. The grease will be extended to distribute evenly until the excess grease is discharged from the drain port, thus reducing the internal pressure;
5. Loading: Remove excess grease and install drain bolts.
Choosing the right grease is the foundation of renewing the whole motor bearing. With the increasingly strict lubrication environment of generator equipment, it is very important to choose a high-performance grease. Grease is a semi-solid lubricant composed of base oil, thickener and additive. High quality motor grease performs well in viscosity, consistency, oxidation resistance, wear resistance, drop point, shear stability and other typical indicators.
